Ownaracehorse is a well established internet based syndication service.  They provide small shares in UK based racehorses.  There are usually between 10 and 20 racehorses available, starting at around £80.00 for a share for the season. Small or large shares are available, with regular online updates, yard visits, owners badges at the racecourse when your horse runs and a share of any prizemoney.

We really like this website and it is a leader in the field. The Ownaracehorse site is simple to navigate and it is relatively easy to purchase a share in a racehorse.  They also provide Gift Packs if you want to give the gift of a racehorse to a racing enthusiast.

The public site provides plenty of information regarding the services they provide, which includes having plenty of different racehorses to choose from, both National Hunt and All-Weather, and the horses are based in both the North and South of the country, giving a fair geographic spread.

You may buy any size share in a racehorse for the season, with the smallest shares being only a fraction of a percent, but going up to 5-10% if you wish.  The shares start at around £80 and go up to £200 for a standard 0.25 to 0.5% share, but obviously you can go higher.  The horses themselves change on a fairly frequent basis, and range from low grade handicappers up to Listed class animals.  They also frequently have unraced two-year-olds at the start of the year.

For your £80 you get quite a lot - your share is placed in an online account from which you can follow your horses progress through the year.  There are regular updates which are alerted to you via email, and you also get a trainer preview every time you horse runs.  There is regular video of the horses placed on the site for owners to view and they run about three yard visits to each trainer every season - almost always on a weekend. 

Prizemoney is paid at the end of the season and apparently thay have had seasons where the horses have paid for themselves - but its made quite clear on the site that this isn't what you should expect!
