you're buying a racehorse or a riding horse. However, there are

How much
should you expect to pay? -
Prices obviously vary, but currently a flat
horse will cost you about 10% of the sum ensured, whilst a
jumper in training will be up to 20%. Riding horses and
other sport horses can be cheaper. As ever, shop around!

Part of the CETA insurance group, this website will give you an immediate quote for horse insurance. They tend to focus on privately owned riding horses rather than racehorses, but premiums start at only £90 per annum. Online quotes are available and theres a telephone helpline should you need it.
